The Village Of Peyia
Five minutes drive brings you to the old village where the locals spend their time sitting outside old tavernas, there is a Greek Orthodox Church in the centre, with a very well stocked supermarket behind. There are also two smaller grocery shops, butchers, bakers, hairdressers, three banks and some excellent restaurants. The village is half way up the mountain on the way to Polis. About 10kms along this road brings you to some little villages, vineyards, wine tasting and lovely places to eat the local food. Try the wine at very cheap prices!
